Quartet look to emerge from small town and to break “Thru It All”

Tahlequah is known for many things. The Cherokee Nation, Illinois River, Northeastern State University, a town of 15,000 plus people. Musically, it’s not exactly known for rock and roll, little alone pop-punk. But these local guys just might stake a claim as they drop their first single, “Irrevelant” ahead of their EP next month. I was fortunate enough to set down with the guys.

They talked a bit about growing up together in our small-town community. Their love for Blink 182 and others of the genre not only gave them a common love for a shared sound but an opportunity to join forces. A few decades later, and the friendship has now culminated with their new band, Thru It All.

Their new single hits with a clean fast-paced rhythm that’s accompanied by the mix of tenor and baritones that we have come to know and love from their inspirations. If this is a sign of things to come, I’m totally down for the trip. Add the EP to my Christmas Wishlist!

Surviving Rocklahoma will not miss this show.

Thru It All will debut at Dewayne’s Bar in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on Dec 2nd.
