Surviving RokIsland: The Eve of Departure

In true fashion, we’ve met a delay or two in our Key West adventure. Angel and I were ready to go before our lodging arrangements fell through. This, however, is shaping up to be a blessing in disguise. We have traded in Plan A: “Camping ROK Style” for Plan B: “S.S. ROK At Sea”.

Thankfully, we secured a houseboat rental and will be living the authentic island life. In order to stay on budget, we had to shave a few days off our trip. In the grand scheme of things, this is going to allow us to take more time on the road and we’ll be able to see more along the way, as we make our cross-country trek to ROK Island.

I’ll be doing my best, along the way, to document our trip with blog posts as well as peaks of the images we capture. We’ll also be bringing live feeds when possible and coverage of the festival as this could be the first of many.

We will also be trying out some new ideas that I’ve been toying around with in our Rocklahoma coverage as well. We very much hope to have all of our viewers, listeners, and followers will join us along the way.

We want to hear from you. What do you want to see from our adventure? What sites, eats, and road trip staples are part of your trips? Comment below or Share this article with your answer!
